Family owned and operated since 1948, this manufacturing company creates stylish, affordable, quality furniture for the home.

"Family Owned and Operated" is a phrase you don't hear often enough these days. You know another thing you don't get tired of hearing... "Thank you sooo much for doing this. I will get this invoice paid ASAP. The website has been great for us!"

But Meganne Wecker is not your typical client and Skyline Furniture is not your typical Furniture Manufacturer. Meganne was referred to Eight Bit Studios by her husband Trent, who is a friend and former colleague of ours from Designkitchen. Up to that point, Trent had built and maintained the Skyline Website himself. He did a commendable job, but Skyline was taking off and it was time for a professional facelift.

Skyline Furniture is located in the South suburbs of Chicago and their products can be found at over 50 retailers such as Target, Urban Outfitters and JC Penney to name a few. They are the real deal and you probably have some of their stuff in your house and don't even realize it. They sell "to the trade" and not directly to the end user, so their website is geared toward retailers and not customers.

The primary goal of the new site was to showcase products, while also sharing relevant press clippings and a list of all their retailers. To accomplish this, we wanted the initial view of the site to be very product focused. So we made the UI very simple and compact so we could use large product images in the background. Overall the website has been a success, attracting several thousand visitors a month and delivering hundreds of leads via the online contact form.
